We love experimenting with art and technology and this was one of those projects. The look of colored light trails was achieved through the judicious use of continuous lighting mixed with strobes. But continuous lighting wasn't the only motion picture technique we brought over to this photography project. The silky smooth curves of the light trails was accomplished by Gabrielle pulling on her extensive experience as a camera operator filming documentaries and commercials. Only a minimal amount of retouching work was done, mainly beauty work to remove dust and scratches and a little rig removal. Everything else was captured in camera in only one shot.
